We are using a new registration system, so please email us at newtonkindergartensoccer@
During the Spring 2014 season, Kindergarten Soccer will run a league for all Newton children currently in kindergarten and who will be attending kindergarten fall 2014. The program is an introduction to soccer and the focus will be on fun and developing confidence. Each session will include drills and a scrimmage.
Kindergarten Soccer will meet on 8 Saturday mornings from April 5 through June 7 (no games on April 19 – Spring Vacation or May 24 – Memorial Day Weekend). Games are played at either Richardson Field, located between Beethoven and Allen Avenues or at Zervas Elementary School on Beethoven Ave. A few days prior to the first game, you will be contacted by one of your child’s coaches regarding the exact location of your child’s first game.
The kindergarten league will play from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m, the pre-K will play from 10:30 to 11:30. Children must be accompanied by an adult – this is not a drop-off program. Kindergarten Soccer is run by parent volunteers and we need parents to help as coaches and assistant coaches. No previous knowledge of soccer is required. So if you are interested in signing up your child, consider signing up yourself as well!
The fee for Kindergarten Soccer is $70. (Financial assistance is available and is confidential – please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.) Your child will receive a team t-shirt and a medal or trophy at the end of the program. Every child must bring a size 3 soccer ball and wear shin guards each week. You may order this equipment through our program.
The deadline to submit your registration is March 21, 2014. After this date, you may still register your child if space is available; a $20 late fee will apply. Enrollment is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need to withdraw your child, a refund (minus a $10 administrative fee) will be provided until April 12, 2014.
